Membership in the Champaign Illinois Kennel Club is a great benefit to all dog enthusiasts.  Our members have the opportunity to plan and administer great shows, participate in community education events, find mentors and students, participate in conformation classes and matches, expand knowledge through special programs, discuss public policy related to dogs, and to enjoy the company of other dog fanciers from a variety of breeds.  Our membership has diverse interests, with breeds represented from all seven AKC groups and activities ranging the full spectrum of dog hobbies.  Guests are welcome at most of our meetings.

Member requirements:
Membership to the Champaign Illinois Kennel Club is open to local responsible individuals in good standing with AKC that have our common goals and interests in dog breeding or other dog related activities. All prospective members are strongly encouraged to attend a monthly club meeting to learn about the activities of the club and the expectations of its members.
As a prerequisite, new members must attend at least two meetings and be sponsored by two club members before any formal membership application can be accepted. Meetings are usually held the second Tuesday of the month at various times and places. See the Calendar for current club news and meeting information.
